    Wanda Harris, President

    Wanda is a dedicated advocate for community empowerment, with a rich background in philanthropy and finance. From spearheading a fundraising effort for the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services to volunteering as a server for a Community Breakfast program, she has consistently invested her time and energy into initiatives that uplift others.

    With over two decades of comprehensive experience in accounting, Wanda has navigated diverse roles, evolving from an entry-level accountant to a seasoned senior financial analyst. Her expertise spans the breadth of financial operations, reflecting her deep understanding of the field.

    Driven by a commitment to merging personal values with professional expertise, Wanda has recently embarked on a mission to democratize financial education. Inspired by the impact of free workshops on financial planning that she organized, she now focuses on bridging the gap in financial literacy within historically underserved communities, aiming to empower individuals to take control of their financial futures.

    Emma is a passionate advocate whose journey in community service in Sacramento began decades ago with can food and blanket drives. Today, she is a champion of using financial education as a transformative tool to break down entrenched barriers and empowering underserved individuals and communities to achieve stability and prosperity.

    As a Senior Contract Administrator, she brings valuable professional expertise to her role on the board, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Emma has dedicated herself to serving others and her commitment to making a difference is unwavering. Her efforts continue to inspire positive change and promote a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.

    Tom Roberts, Secretary/Treasurer

    Tom has been serving at the executive level for nonprofit and public agencies for nearly 30 years. While most of his professional career has been dedicated to serving older adults, persons with disabilities and Native families, he has been fortunate to also pursue many civic interests, investing energy and passion in community betterment across a wide range of issues.

    A catalyst for positive change, Tom has played pivotal roles in founding one statewide and three local nonprofit organizations. In addition, he has served on a City Council and on a Redevelopment Agency Board; improved services at a winter homeless shelter; secured “lifeline” utility rates for low-income individuals; created a jobs program for teens; served on a County Human Relations Commission; and was invited to the White House by the President to discuss issues of social policy.

    Rooted in his own immigrant experience, Tom understands firsthand the transformative power of education and financial literacy. As the first member of his family to pursue higher education, he recognizes the pivotal role financial education plays in fostering security and upward mobility, a belief that fuels his dedication to empowering others.

    Jerrilander Magee

    Jerrilander has over twenty-five years of expertise in navigating IT projects as a seasoned Business Analyst. Her academic pursuits have taken her from the halls of History as an undergraduate to the depths of Business, culminating in a Master’s degree.

    In her spare time, she wholeheartedly dedicates herself to various non-profit endeavors, offering support to organizations like Crisis Pregnancy Centers, homeless shelters, and Crisis Prayer Lines. Her unwavering commitment lies in contributing to the greater good, be it through financial aid or hands-on volunteering, wherever the community's needs arise.

    Gloria J. Nobles, Retired Professor

    Gloria has dedicated 37 years to the field of education, serving 30 of those years as a professor in the Business and Computer Science Division, and the remainder teaching a variety of subjects at the high school level. Her tireless commitment to her profession earned her the prestigious Patrons Chair Award for Faculty in 2016.

    With a major focus on curriculum development and instructional design, Gloria earned a PhD in Instructional Design and Online Learning. This advanced her ability to develop materials within her department and design customized training for business and industry through the community college project, California Connects, which aimed to increase digital literacy in underserved areas.

    In addition to her teaching career, Gloria is the owner of Nobles & Associates, a small business where she hires part-time computer applications instructors for training assignments through short-term contracts. This experience enriched her "real world" knowledge, allowing her to provide students not only with technical skills but also insights into various work environments they may encounter after graduation.

    Gloria has also remained actively involved in community activities, organizing support for the needy, missionaries, disaster victims, and homeless shelters. Most recently, she created a Sharing Center within an existing organization, hosting over 25 public events in the past 14 months. The goal of the Sharing Center is to share, empower, strengthen, and illuminate the pathway for future growth and community cohesiveness.

    Deborah Seiler

    Deborah brings a wealth of experience in administration, spanning both the public and private sectors. Her dedication to the field of election administration is evident through her extensive involvement on various boards and commissions, including the prestigious CA Fair Political Practices Commission.

    Throughout her career, Deborah has held pivotal roles such as Chief of Elections and Political Reform in the CA Secretary of State’s office, Chief Consultant to the CA State Assembly Elections and Reapportionment Committee, and Registrar of Voters for San Diego County, among others. Her leadership was instrumental in reshaping significant portions of the CA Elections Code, demonstrating her profound impact on electoral processes.

    Notably, Deborah's commitment to fostering civic engagement extends beyond her professional endeavors. As the editor and publisher of The Seiler Report, a newsletter focused on CA election administration, she provided valuable insights to the community. Currently, she volunteers her time as the President of the Renaissance Society of Sacramento, a thriving lifelong learning organization affiliated with Sacramento State University. With 1,800 members, the organization provides learning opportunities, mentoring programs, provides student scholarships, and raises funds for essential community services.

    Deborah's multifaceted contributions exemplify her unwavering dedication to enhancing civic participation, education, and community welfare.
